1.Peer Review Policy The journal adopts a single-blindpeer review system. The acceptance rate of manuscripts is around 25%。
2.Editing PolicyAll authors shall be responsible for their own writing. According to the “Copyright Law of the People's Republic of China”, the journal may make some wording amendments and abridgments for accepted manuscripts. Any amendment involving changes in meaning will be sent to the authors for confirmation.
3. RequirementsforReviewers The reviewers should①havescientific integrityand prudence;②dedicate to scientific research and be supportiveof this journal's work;③work as doctoral supervisors, professors, researchers, young academic leaders, as well as postdoctoral researchers at home and abroad with significant influence in related field;④strictly review manuscripts according to the relevant regulations and requirements of the editorial office, provide a detailed evaluation of the manuscripts in terms of academic value, innovation, writing quality, and indicate specific errors, and return the review comments on time.
4. Editing Process and Timing After submission, the editorial office will conduct a preliminary review of the manuscript onits quality and itsrelevance to the journal’s aim and scopewithin10days.Those that pass the preliminary review will be sentto one or two expertsfor peer review, which usually takes 1~3 months. Reviewcomments will be made on the manuscripts that are intended to be accepted. Authors should return the revised manuscripts as soon as possible. If the authors cannot return revised manuscripts under special circumstances or need to postpone, please email ofchemythx@163.com with specific reasons. Those who do not return within 2 months will be regarded as withdrawn.The editorial office will issue a “Certificate of Acceptance” or a “Notice of Rejection” to the author within one week after the final review by the editorial board. If the author does not receive any feedback from the editorial office within 4 months, he/she may submit the manuscript to another journal after informing the editorial office.
5. Academic Misconduct Prevention To prevent academic misconduct, the journal adopts plagiarism detection systems from China National Knowledge Infrastructure (CNKI). The overall repetition rate shall be less than15%. For manuscripts found to commit academic misconduct, the journal will immediately reject the manuscript and no longer accept submissions from the author.
6. Submission by Editors The editorial staff/editors/editorial board members should not be involved in publishing decisions on articles that they have written themselves or have been written by their family members or colleagues. Any such submission should be strictly subject to the journal’s usual editorial process. Peer review should be handled independently by the relevant author/editor and their research groups.
7. Appeal Authors may make an appeal if they disagree with the comment from the reviewers. The authors need to write an “Appeal Letter” (with the manuscript serial number) and send it toofchemythx@163.com. Detailed reasons for appealing must be stated, including a comprehensive and reasonable answer to the reviewers’ comments. The appeal letter should also be stamped by the author’s institute. The editorial office will consider whether to change the decision case by case.
8. Correction and Retraction Articles published online or in print are considered the final and complete version. In principle, the journal does not make corrections or retractions on published articles. However, in the case of the situations described below, corrections or retractions may be carried out if truly necessary.
1) Correction: If there appears to be an unintended scientific mistake in the article which would not lead to significant impacts on the results and conclusion, the editorial office will publish corrections in the journal as soon as possible, detailing the changes made to the original article and indicating the source of the article. The journal will release the corrected new version of the article, and specify the changes to the original article and the date of update. In addition, the superseded version will also be archived. Readers can obtain it directly, but only the latest version of the article should be used for citation.
2) Retraction: In the following cases, the editorial office would retract published articles and issue retraction statements:
(i)If an article is found to have severe scientific errors making the results and conclusion of the article unreliable;
(ii)For articles suspected of academic misconduct, such as plagiarism and data falsification, the editorial office will initiate an investigation and issue a statement to inform readers of the risks associated with the article. Once the investigation is completed, the result will be made public. If the academic misconduct is confirmed, the article will be immediately retracted and a retraction statement will be issued by the editorial office.
9. Post-publication Discussion We welcome authors and readers to make discussion on the journal’s published articles. Comments can be sent to the journal’s email (ofchemythx@163.com). The editorial office will deal with it as soon as possible and give feedback as appropriate. We welcome readers and authors to actively provide their comments on the articles to the journal, which can help us to create a positive academic atmosphere.
